Our new site has just launched, and some of the pages are currently still under construction.
We thank you for your patience, please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or queries.
Coffee mornings, non-uniform days, bake-offs, themed cocktail parties and dance-a-thons are just a few examples of what YOU can do to support people affected by encephalitis on World Encephalitis Day.
No matter how big or small the event, we are there to help you from start to finish with advice, resources and publicity.
If you are planning a fundraiser please get in touch with Carolyn Jackson, our Fundraising Co-ordinator, with whatever your needs may be.
She can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org or +44(0)1653 692583.
How Can We Help?
We have many different resources that can be issued to you to help with your event, including:
*Collection tins and buckets (Unavailable for street collections)
*Flat Packed Collection Boxes
*World Encephalitis Day #RED4WED T-shirts (allow up to seven days for delivery in the UK)
Stuck for a fundraising idea?
If you are stuck for an idea, why not look at the list below, or get in touch with our fundraising team.
Why not go #RED4WED!
We are asking supporters to wear something RED for WED (World Encephalitis Day) - maybe your fundraiser could have a RED theme. Some ideas include:
*A RED-themed dress down day at your office, school, college or university and ask your friends and colleagues to dress in red for World Encephalitis Day and make donations.
*Light up a local landmark or your home in RED.
*Host a RED carpet-style evening event
*Create a lovely RED floral arrangement for a friend or family member who has been affected by encephalitis and make a donation
*Invite your friends to join you at a RED-themed Craft Day and charge them for coffee and cakes.
Carolyn, our Fundraising Co-ordinator, is a massive foodie and can advise you with any gourmet events, such as hosting a Great Encephalitis Bake-Off, dinner parties or ladies lunches, making red salads or smoothies or even asking a local baker to make and sell RED iced biscuits or cupcakes.
*Why don't you host a Business Networking event and put forward The Encephalitis Society as a "Charity of the Year."
*If you are already fundraising for us, ask if your employer will consider "match funding" your efforts.
*If you play for a sports team, why not organise a fundraiser around World Encephalitis Day with fines and penalties for RED cards!
*Encourage students to put on an art exhibition about encephalitis and ask for donations from visitors.
*Sign up to a challenge event. We have places available for the Maserati Tour de Yorkshire Ride, Harrogate 10k and Great South Run - or organise your own place at any other challenge events out there.
Whatever your idea or need, we are here to help. Please get in touch with Carolyn at email@example.com or on +44(0)1653 692583.
