Wednesday, March 28, saw the launch of the UK's new £1 coin by The Royal Mint.
The new coin is bimetallic, 12-sided, and will feature the national emblems of Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and England.
It is the biggest shake-up in the nation's currency for over 30 years!
The new coin does, however, mean curtains for the old "round pound" which was introduced in 1983 and will no longer be legal tender from October 15.
So what are you going to do with those old coins?
Why not donate them to The Encephalitis Society?
We could use those old £1 coins to fund our support line and help people affected by encephalitis or to help fund research into the condition. An old £1 can go a long way!
