£10 is how much it costs to produce and post our Teacher’s Resources. This comprehensive handbook provides advice and guidance for teachers or schools on how to meet the complex needs of children who have been affected by Encephalitis.
We are the only organisation of our kind in the world producing vital resources like this, and we need your help to enable us to continue to do so.
£12 is how much it costs to produce and post an Adult Support Pack to someone in need. Providing support to those affected by Encephalitis, both directly and in directly, is at the core of The Encephalitis Society.
Through donating you could enable the continuation of our information and support services to people around the world.
£20 funds the Support Line for an hour. We couldn’t offer this support line with a telephone, without line rental, or without the support team needed to facilitate the call.
Offering support and information is the foundation of what The Encephalitis Society does. The money that you donate can go towards helping us to continue supporting thousands of people around the world.
£33 is what it costs us to provide a child with 'Gilley the Giraffe’ materials. This includes a book written for 3-9 year olds, which tells the story of Gilley a Giraffe who becomes ill with Encephalitis, along with a soft Gilly the Giraffe toy and DVD to accompany the book.
Your money could help a child and their family come to terms with the often devastating consequences of Encephalitis.
£75 could fund a young person’s place at one of our Youth Events. These events aim to empower attendees and bring young people affected by Encephalitis together in a safe environment.
In some cases this may be the first opportunity some young people will have to enjoy a recreational activity with their peers outside of an educational environment. Your donation could have a direct impact on a young person's life.
£250 could fund a place at one of our Residential Weekends. We know that attendees benefit greatly from these events, with many experiencing a reduction in feelings of isolation and an increase in their understanding of how to cope with the consequences of Encephalitis.
Your donation could provide the chance for a family to reunite in a safe and caring environment, allowing them to be together and come to terms with the effects of Encephalitis.
We are asking you, our loyal and supportive members to fund our vital service. Offering support and information is the foundation of what The Encephalitis Society does, and we need your help to allow us to continue to do this.
No matter how large or small your donation, you will be making a difference to the lives of those affected by the devastating condition that is Encephalitis.
