Malton and Norton Pride Awards - Outstanding Achievement

The Encephalitis Society was given a 21st birthday present on Saturday, October 24, when it was honoured with the Outstanding Achievement Award at the 2015 Pride of Malton and Norton Awards.

The awards ceremony at The Old Lodge Hotel, Malton, attracted 180 people from the local community, including the Mayors of Malton and Norton, business leaders, members of the clergy and the police force.

Speaking about the award, Dr Ava Easton, chief executive of The Encephalitis Society, said afterwards: “It is testament to each and every one who goes the extra mile to make The Society the professional, supportive, and dynamic organisation that it is.”

You can see the moment The Society wins and collects the award in this short video below.

The award will take pride of place in The Society’s reception area and will be added to their 2014 success as Silver winners in the CIPR Awards for World Encephalitis Day 2014!

The team are all thrilled to have the work of The Society recognised! Go Team Encephalitis!
