10 Year Strategic Plan - Executive Summary 2016

The Society has four strategic objectives: support, awareness, research and effective operations. Each objective identifies a number of key activities, SMART outputs over one, three-to five, and 10 year periods and anticipated outcomes, all intended to meet our primary aim.

Each activity has a more detailed action plan which is created annually in order to meet the identified over-arching strategic objective.  Views on our objectives, strategy and values are sought from the staff group.

The objectives and activities are agreed by the Board, and the Senior Management Team (Chief Executive and Director of Operations) are tasked with working with each department (support, fundraising and operations) in order to bring each strategic objective and activity to a successful conclusion. 

Each objective and activity is reported on in the Annual Review each year, describing achievements, outcomes and impact for our beneficiaries and funders.

The strategic plan is our handbook to prioritise our work, whilst also enabling us to clearly report upon not only the outcomes of our work, but also the impact they have for our beneficiaries and people affected by encephalitis throughout the world.
